Do you often watch news?? I do. I watch several news on TV, almost everyday. At the moment, news about a company called LIVEDOOR is an ongoing topic on every single news program. It is about the marketing of LIVEDOOR and the company has been investigated for illegal stock exchanges.

From the influences of this news, I became having some interests in marketing. So does anybody around you doing marketing?? I do not know about it a lot. So I will appreciate if you give me a information about it, though I am not planning to do marketing at the moment. Just want some tips!!!

How was your holidays??

How was your holiday?? Did you have fun?? Mine started with going back home on huge snow day. And I drove car almost everyday. I think I improved a lot my skill. So and on 31,December, Omisoka, I went my friend's place as usual. My friends from junior high school usually get together at one of my friends' home and spend all night together. So I went there, but one thing was different from other years. There was a Fin girl called Anne and she was an exchange student at nearby high school. What surprised me was her Japanese!!! She has been in Japan only for ten months, but her skills of speaking Japanese were just increadible. She speaked Japanese as fluently as a person who has been here for three years!!! What is more she knows all the funny words as well, such as "Omae" or "Teme" those kind of words... Is it interesting that People in Engkish speaking country dislike Japanese student use swear words. On the other hand Japanese people tend to accept and think it is funny that foreign students uses such words??

Oh No!!

I knew that going home on this snowy day is gonna be so foolish, however I just couldn't help waiting driving a car. So I dicided go home today...
First when I woke up in my cold room and open the cartain... I lost my mind ...
Is it possible that we have such a snowy day in Osaka...
I went bus stop, even one bus did not come for a hour. It was like a hell.
So I made my way to Kyoto, but coldness was even worse there...what is more Shinkansens were delayed. Finally I made my way home, but it seems that I have to wait to get a chance to drve a car...

My Slant on Iraq War

How high is your dignity of life?? Do you think that of the president's higher and that of poor little orphan girl lower?? Do you think anyone can tell us that some are higher and others are lower?? They are just the same. No matter who you are, you have the same dignity of life as anyone out there. So then who can take them away from us?? Doesn't it sound ridiculous that some people still try to continue war and try to justify their opinions that are totally insane. It has been 60 years since the WW2 ended; the world must have learned how a war is terrible from past experiences. I believe that people’s lives should never take others under any circumstances. Even if we lost some of our family members or best friends, retaliation still is the murder and it is not worth doing.
In this case, Mr. President has decided to send US troops to Iraq, though the government was not sure whether the mass distractions were really exist or not. By this decision, as a result, hundreds, thousands of innocent citizens in Iraq have taken away their lives. I do agree that if there were mass distractions really existing, then Iraq would be the huge threat to rest of the world. And also making decision on this issue was never easy. However I also think that war wasn't the correct or only way to deal with this problem. Why the world's largest country did not come up with any other ways? Why don't they think it's right time to move on next step? Why they repeat the most shameful things again and again? I don't know.....

30 days episode 4

Talking about this kind of problem is very defficult especially in Japan. Sexioul orientation has been quietry swept under the rug for such a long time as well as women's rights. Women's rights are ,now, almost improved and they became to be treated as well as men in our society. However sexioul orientations are still remaimed. I think that when I became think about it seriously is after I watched a Japanese drama series called "KINPACHI SENSEI." About four years ago, the show once forcused on the sexioul orientation from different point of veiw. A girl had a disease and she was born as a girl, but she doubted that her mind was completely a boy. In other words, her looks and inside were totally opposite.
So this 30 days episode was as thoughtful as that one. Since I do not have any friend who is a gay or lesbian, I cannot know how they feel about themselves or how they think about situations around them. However at the same time, I do not deny what they are. Like in the show Ms Penny said, if I were told to be change my sexioul orientation, I definitely sure that i cannot. And I think that this the same thing, If homosexouls are told not to be what they are, it is just impossible. Also I believe that denying people without knowing what they are like is unreasonable, and not too much to, is say discriminating.
How do you feel if you are accused of being what you are by people who definitely do not know what you are. Isn't is insult??
My idea is this, because the most of people beleive that we should make a relationship with opposete sex, it doesn't mean it is the only correct way. In fact, sometimes people are seeking for freedom too much and step out of the common sence. However there so many homosexiouls around the world, so I guess this is time for homosexioulity to be a part of common sense.

Parallel Structured Poem

Here is my parallel structured poem about something which I always have in my pocket. Notice!! This isn’t a romantic poem, though first two lines may sounds like it.

Super Size Me - World is Round, So am I-

You know what?? The most impressive thing I felt after watching this film " Suoer Size Me" was that I shoule be categorized in SUPER HEAVY USER of McDonald's. I , at least, visit their once or twice a week for lunch with my friend, even three times, sometimes. Although I know it's not good for our health, but I never tried to stop visiting there intentionally. Does this meen I am addicted to their products?? In fact sometimes I become wanting to eat McDonald's very much. Have you experienced this felling?? When I was in high school, I had a part time job at McDonald's and the fact is their just disgusting!!! I got tell you. The cheeses are left there for hours and so are lettuces and the other greens. Patties and chicken nagetts are arriving as frozen and by the time when you eat them, they are fried or deep fried twice, I can imagin they contain so much fat. The most scary thing is that when you work at their, you can't help eating them. Because they are so cheap and handy. I had a co-lleague who eats their products almost every day for dinner, I think at least five times a week... I haven't even thought about his health at that time, although I had a idea of if people keep eating them for a long time, then they should bacome fat and fat. I think their is lots of people who is like me at that time. They have no idea how eating McDonald's that often make their health bad and urging various diseas... We really should realize about this issue...

The next thing is about sueing the company. Did you think it was great idea to sueing the fast food comapanies for people getting fat or having health problems?? I thought this idea was nonsense... People visit there by their own choices, although they realized that at least eating them are not so good for their helth. May be people are not willingly to get unhealthy, but it is their responsebility to make good and wise choice fo what they eat. I think it is unfair and ridiculous idea to accuse company. people should have more concerns with what they eat and care about own healths.

Connotaion in Japanese

In Japanese, we have various connotations as well as in English.
I give you couple of examples.

English: meal, Japanese positive: shokuji, Japanese negative: meshi

"Shokuji" is polite and correct way to express an English word "meal." You can use this word when you talk to your teacher or boss, however on the other hand "meshi" sounds　like rude and dirty. It is alright to use this word with your family or friends, but not with someone at higher position of you or in formal situation.

English: cigarettes, Japanese neutral: tabako, Japanese negative: yani

Here is another example of connotation in Japanese. "Tabako" is a Japanese word which expresses an English word "cigarettes." "Tabako" is very neutral word and you can use this word in any situations. Also "yani" is another Japanese word which means "cigarettes", however contrary this word sounds, again, like dirty and popular among those who are young such as teenagers or college students. You might say this word to your friends.

Intelligence

#1. Why is society interested in your intelligence and schooling?
Is the purpose of the school only teaching us academic stuff?? I don’t think so. I think that inside the school is kind of a community and small society where we can learn how to deal with real life. As the author mentioned in the selection, the place where we learn more about particular skills is at job, but not at school. However, company requires us to do what they want us to do no matter if we like that job or not. I think the meaning of the schooling is related to this. At school, they gave us various kinds of assignments and not all of us are good at everything, but may be some. So why society interested in our intelligence is because they want to know whether we likely to accept the tasks and adapt to it or manage the assignment even if we are not fonder or familiar.

#2. Why do some people of seemingly average intelligence achieve extraordinary success?
I believe that the intelligence is what we can prove little by little. Also where we call forth our intelligence is depending on a individual, which means that only one type of the IQ test, which focuses on mostly logical/mathematical stuff, cannot prove our talent out side of that category. And I think that making effort is also a kind of intelligence, and those who achieved the extraordinary things usually made huge effort as well. I think this is the answer to this question.

#3. What does being “street smart” mean?
I think that being “street smart” means having flexibility to adapt to the new environment by changing oneself or being equal to the occasion. If the condition was set up, a person, who is street smart, accept it immediately and does what he/she need to do. And also when the difficult problem occurs, he/she might think critically and create the way to solve it. I think I am good at adapting new environment and have intelligent to do it to some extent, however at the same time, I am weak at think critically and find out the way to solve the problem with which I am not familiar. So I think “street smart” person also lead the solution whether if he/she might have the knowledge about that problem or not.

MUSIC STUDIO

Today I went a music studio in Gotenyama with my band. We invited a singer from cabern club( Im not sure about spelling, anyway) called Hamachan who sang JET songs in school festival. So first we started with JET songs and they were just awsome although we play them together for first time. After a hour later, we played nearly all songs that we prepared, so we started playing other songs that we are not prepared well. As we playing like whatever we like, kind of a song was created!!! The song was based on WONDERWALL by oasis but no exactly what it is, anyway that was good experience for me. Also the manager of the studio seemed not that good. I heard that if you left behind your unbrella he will give it to another person who don't have it on rainy day or if you forget a cable, you will have to pay to borrow it while the other studio lease it for free!!! I never want to work like that place....

Weekend

How do you spend your weekend usually guys-?? I sometimes feel that weekend can kill me. When I have plan to do something with someone on weekend, it drives me so happy and makes me feel I wanna have weekend forever. But otherwise just stay in my room and I get so bored!!! Playing guitar all day long and may be drink some in the evening. Since I am living by my self, I don't have family member to talk to, and the only one that I face to is my MAC... What a miserable life this is!!!

Seeking for Singer

My life started moving to different direction slowly. Finally I found what I have been looking for. I met a guy at the meeting of the music circle. I went there as my first time and had not decided yet to join or not. Although this guy already had been quit the club. But on that day, somehow he was there and we met each other. It didn't take much time before we get along with one another. So we went music studio to have a little jam session. We played about 10 songs of Red Hot Chili Peppers and 2 or 3 Oasis song. Although we need more practice, it was so great, and his play was the best in my life. However now we are facing to huge problem!! So we have guitarist, bassist and drummer, but there is no singer..... What want ask you is do you know anyone around you good at singing, possibly plays the guitar and perhaps likes "Maroon5" "Oasis" "Red Hot Chili Peppers" "Jet" ??? Even a girl we welcome. Please please let me know if you do!!!

50 first dates

ﾒ Do I do this??ﾓ this was my first impression to this film. To put it shortly, this was a love story between Henry and Lucy. It seemed to be a usual romantic comedy. However there was big conflict among this film. Henry was working for aquarium in Hawaii and he got a bad habit what was called island fling. Then he met local girl called Lucy and he didnﾕt need much time to fall in love with her. The problem was since she got short-term memory loss, she couldnﾕt remember last time she met him. But Henry was patient and tough enough to fall in love with her day after day. Story was going through Henryﾕs point of view, with this we could see how much Henry loved her and how she was different from the other girls to him. About half through the film, Henry succeeded in getting her heart and found out what her brother and dad do every day to make up the same day for Lucy. At this point I thought that this wasnﾕt right way to deal with the situation. Perhaps they had already tried different way to make Lucy remember things, what I believed was they shouldnﾕt keep her at the same point, because it wouldnﾕt help her to recover. Also they had to do their routines forever. So Henry tried new meditation to her, witch was, show her the videotape that recorded what had been happened to her every morning. First she looked confused, but soon she became understood the thing happened to her. From doing this, Henry started believing in Lucy might remember the things, however doctor was confident enough to say it wouldnﾕt happen and it was only what Henry wanted to believe. This was the most miserable part for me. I was able to understand how Henry was feeling. If I was in Henryﾕs position, there was no doubt that I thought exactly the same thing as him. Latter in the film, when Lucy found out that Henry had a big dream of tripping around the world with his ship, she decided to break up with him and throw away all the memory or notes that possibly reminds her of Henry. It always seems to be difficult to decide to choose dream or the close happiness. I guess I am not brave enough to throw the close happiness out there away. So but after all, some miracle was happened, Although Lucy was still not able to remember him, she had been dreaming about Henry, which sounded possible to occur. So finally they got married but it didnﾕt tell us more than that. I wish Lucy could be recovered.

After Watching 30 Days

As many people do, when I think of America, I have been focusing on only bright side of country. It is the richest country in the world, a lot of people made their way in America as American dreams. However, after watching “30 days” I realized that not everyone is rich or even middle. Poor people who struggle to live day by day or even starve to death construct large part of its population. Actually I knew about poverty of America, but I have never imagined how the people actually live their lives. I was surprised when Morgan and Alex went to ER, about how expensive the health care was. I definitely understood why poor people couldn’t afford for it, especially without the insurance. So I cannot imagine if I were in the same situation as them. Suppose to think that minimum wage in here is 600yen a hour, if I work for 8 hours, I can earn 4800 yen a day. My rent is about 40,000yan a month. It means I can hardly live, but won’t be able to afford for Karaoke or eat out with my friends. So if I forced to live in this situation, I think any pleasure will vanish from my life, just hard enough to live day by day.
So if I have to live someone’s life like Morgan and Alex did for 30 days, my life would be completely changed. I won’t have enough time to do whatever I like such as listening to music or playing guitar. Also if I have to work 18 hours a day by doing two or three jobs, it would be the hardest part for me. Because some say that it’s enough to sleep 6hours, but I would like to sleep seven or eight hours, otherwise I will be exhausted.
So if I experienced this program, I think I would be better with money and time. I could learn how to use money and time wiser than now, and of course I could find out how those people are deal with their life. Again I think this experience will work positive for me when I focus on using money and time wisely, but on the other hand I may be tired of living my life.

Japanese gesture "Banzai"

“Banzai” is very common gesture to describe the victory or pleasure in Japan. You raise your both arms up and down in the air while you are shouting “Banzai”. when you doing the gesture, you probablly are smiling, or if you achieved the very hard work, like getting Noble prize or succeeded in getting touch with an Alien from the space, then you may cry. Also the word can be changed into “yatta” for the same meaning or “waa” for surprising. Probably you may find Japanese people doing this gesture on TV or Magazines. For example, when the Japanese athletes won the prize, they often do this. Another example, when the political election is held and a party or candidate won, they always do this with their supporters to share the pleasure of victory. So even at the party, people do this. I am not that sure why at the party, but what I think is to describe the pleasure of meeting and drinking with friends and wishing everybody’s health and good luck for rest of their life.

Maid Cafe

About a week and half ago, I went to a MAID CAFE in Nipponbashi.
Firstly it was AWSOME!!! There were many maids welcom us!! When we came into the cafe they said "welcome back master" and led us to the table. Usually when we order the foods, we push the botton on the table to tell the stuff. But in that cafe everything was different!!! There was a little old fushined bell on the table and we have to ring that little bell!!!
And the most fasinating thing was the bath room!!! It was made up with lacework!!! if u have a chance, u should visit!!!

REACTION TO THE CLIP OF HURRICANE

Until I saw the clip of Katrina in our class, I have only few ideas about it.
Now I know the how racism is related to this tragedy and what situation the NewOleanians, especially Black people, are facing to. I think it is not fare that some riches were saved and those who really need help ware left.
Also I thought kind of the same thing when I studied about ,Australian natives, Aborigine they had been living there for generations and making up their own culture, but now their space to live is very narrow.

4 How does your family contribute to your happiness?
My family contributes to my happiness by just being there.
Because I live by myself in here Hirakata, Sometimes I really want someone to talk to when I feel lonely or something I did not expect is happen. Friends are good talk with; teachers are good talk with, however family members are the best for talking with.
They know almost every thing about me and understanding my personality well and they can give me right advice. So they can make me feel relax and comfortable. Also these feelings are necessary for being happy.

5 How can a long-term romantic relationship contribute to your happiness?
A long-term relationship contributes to my happiness by becoming a part of my life as relationship keeps growing.
First it makes me feel having something brand new and bring me down big happiness of having partner. Then as time passes by, being with that partner becomes natural, and the time when I am with her becomes the most relaxing and comfortable moment in my life. It let me forget everything like bad things or anxiousness, and etc. Also I think that we do need this relaxing and comfortable time to live our life with certain happiness.

7 What is your vision of a satisfying job?
A satisfying job must be something I can love. For me, a job related to music seems to be the best job. Because I love music and my hobby is playing guitar.
Secondly, certain amount of day off is necessary for satisfying job. Because if I cannot have enough rest, then I think that I might start thinking that job is only hectic job rather than satisfying job. Third is money, of course I don’t need unnecessary money that let me live in luxury, but I need at least money to live a life. So these are my vision of a satisfying job.

My Summer Holidays

Finally I got the DRIVER’S LICENCE!!!
I went Shizuoka to get it with my friends. It took about 2 weeks to get it.
We were staying the business hotel. The name of the town we stayed was Kakegawa.
So nothing interesting was there and all we can do at the nighttime was play station 2!!!
Do you know the game called WINNING ELEVEN??
It’s the soccer game! It was good idea for killing the time with it.
How many of you already have the license?? It’s so convenient if you can drive a car!!!
Also if you are planning to go and get it, you should try MT car. It’s so fun to changing the gears!!!

On the other day, I went my fellow’s house and did NAGASHI SOUMEN!!
Do you know what it is Adam, Scott?? If you don’t know it , you should ask me and try it next summer!!! I am sure that it make you feel much more cooler, even if in this humid weather!!
By the way, I didn’t eat even tiny amount of noodle, because I had been drinking!!!

D**n Holidays

U know when we on the skul days, we always r expecting the holidays to come.
But problem is that when r on the holidays and got nothing to do, it's sooo boring...
So Yuichi came my room after he had done his Chinese test. He brought the 5 big sausage from the 99 shop. so I appriciated that, but it tasted sucks...sorry Y. First two ours were alright we talked about our classes and exams and played guitar. However after that we got nothing to do. So suddenly I became wanting to go to Kuzuha mall.
We took a bus and got there, looked around.
After looking around several shops, we went the book store.
we were both reading cocking magazine....how d u think that two boys are reading cocking magazine togather...
So anyway our common interests were in the interia
I bought a beautiful pares of champagne glass for 1000y it was not bad.
Also he was trying to be funny as usual and in the bus all the way down to there he just kept sleeping against the window...

ps I enjoyed a bottol of champagne with Oasis dvd, ah song was called "champagne supernova" , of course YUICHI was sleeping on my bed after one glass of wine. Oh god....

Italiano

i had my Italian test today.
So it made me mad...
Any was the summer holidays has come!!
I went karaoke after that and went to Yodo river and did the fireworks with my friend.
It was fun and I ll post the pictures.
For SHIZUKA, u asked me that the girl u saw with me near the V was my girlfriend.
So she is not my GIRLFRIEND, but we are the best friends!!
For ADAM, the girl Shizuka saw was the one on the picture of my party. ah the one who's got the longer hair.
Any way Ill do my best on the politics test!!!

School of Rock

I got the beautiful sound track of the film callesd "School of Rock" which we watched in Scott's class.
It is so great!! fantastic!!
You can here the lots of music which played in the film including the songs by kids band!!
oh but i have to say it did not including AC/DC song " Back in Black"
Do u guys remember that name of AC/DC ? Jack Black said it so many times in the flic!!!
So it was the name of the band from my second native country AUSTRALIA.
also i think the reason Jack was waring the suite with short pant at the concert is the guitarist of that band ANGUS YOUNG appears at the live like that!!

So ONE GREAT ROCK SHOW CAN CHANGE THE WOLD!!!

A thin wall

My room got such a thin wall...
It's about 15-20 cm thick...
I am sufering from man's, who is living next room, snoring every night except for when I am very tired and sleep right after I goes to bed. Also sometimes he hit the wall, I don't know whether accidently of not.
but it doesnt matter me...

Also the man who lives upstairs.... he is so noisy. He somtimes doing with loud noise in the midnight....

So because of the wall I even cannot play acoustic guitar without the amplifire....
If you know good place which can shut that noise please please tell me .
I might consider moving.

Anyway I dicide to go to driving school during this summer vacation with my friend.
I am so exiting. But I have the test on 27th so that I cannot go back to home.......
The reason why I am so eagering to go back is because i would like to play the guitar with big loud sound!!! just like JACK BLACK. by the way it was such a good film. I loved it although it was my third time to watch it.

As many of you know, that Japanese volleyball team had beaten America!!
I was at my apartment with couple of my friends.
We were having Shabu-shabu party and it was fun and we had great time!!!
I ll show you some pictures from the party.
But the problem had happened next day .
After I went to Karaoke, I went back to my room and turned TV on.
The fomura 1 in Uk Silverstone was on.
Although I am not the biggest fan of BRA HONDA, I was flabbergasted when the Takumas machine was got out of the control and stopped on the last corner of the circuit!!! It was terrible, the rest of the machines started with the pace maker machine...
So I am still watching it and I wish he could show great race.
Also go Williams BMW, Mark Webber and McLaren, Montoya,Rikkonen!!!

Recently I visited the home page of APPLE
So i ordered a i pod about a mouth ago.
so i pot has colour display for the same price!!
what is terrific.
just a month then....
I was so depressed by this news...
a month just a month...

Also scott gave me the dvd R which was containing about 1000 songs!!
it was just beautigul and his so kind !!
a thousand songs are just huge!!
And the best band in the cd was PRIMAL SCREAM!!!

Family Times

As I siad on different day, I went to my home in Aichi last week.
So Fortunately my Grampa was much better than few days ago and he was able to recognize that I was there.
My mum has been very busy, for driving my Gramma to the hospital every day and looked exhausted.
However the taste of the meal was still good. nothing could be better than that.
Also I visit my causin's and had sushi for dinner as well as BEER!!
It was so nice and made me to forget about everything.
My younger brothers and sister and a dog were seemed to be very good.
the hair of the dog was so flafy!! I havent beed touching it since April, that made me so relaxed.
In my room nothing was changed and looked like welcome me I had recorded some songs with my guitar and had such a good time. Next time would be on summer holidays !! I cannot help waiting to go back there again!!
you should visit you home !! feel it and love it !!
dont tell me you would not go back to your home even on S holidays like Yuichi!!!

Hometown

I am heading for my hometown >Nagoya tonight!!
Bad thing is my grandfather is in the hospital at the moment.
Good thing is he is much better now than few days ago and I can eat dinner without prepare for it by myself.
Although I have massive of homework this weekend, I will enjoy my returning as much as I can.
